The Diamond Way Buddhist Centre of Wellington will have a good time on its imposing opening with a talk at 7:00pm on 19 June 2012. The lecture titled, "Buddhism in the Modern World” will be known by Buddhist instructor Jonathan Bradley throughout his international tour which contains stops in Hong Kong, Japan and New Zealand.
The Wellington centre was recognized by students of Lama Ole Nydahl, a Western lama instead of a sequence of teachers dating backside 2,550 years. Lama Ole Nydahl, a teacher of Buddhism since 1972, regularly questions his more superior students such as Jonathan to travel and teach across the globe.
The Diamond Way Buddhist Centre of Wellington is branch of an international network of 600+ meditation centers in more than 50 countries around the world in the Karma Kagyu tradition of Tibetan Buddhism. Their aim is to protect the distinctive Tibetan meditation put into practice and makes them accessible in the West during translation work, publications and courses with more than 100 international Buddhist teachers. The centers were recognized by Lama Ole Nydahl according to the needs of the 16th Karmapa. Currently, they are under the leadership of the 17th Gyalwa Karmapa, Trinley, Thaye Dorje.
The Wellington centre is situated at Level 2, 276 Cuba Street. The limited centre will present liberated public meditation evenings every Monday and Thursday at 6:30pm as well as more in-depth withdraws and teachings all through the year.
